I deliberated far too long in deciding on what External Drive I was going to get for my two Macs to backup. I ended up going with the mini max after much research and despite paying perhaps a touch more compared to market this is the perfect drive for me since it is designed for my Mac specifically. I have an iMac and a Mac Book Pro and this thing backs up simply and flawlessly. Sure I wish it had FW 800. Sure I wish it was more portable without needing the power supply. In the end the thing that matters most is that it is easy to use and secure. After a week or 10 days (an admittedly short time) it certainly appears to be both. Thumbs up for Mac users.
